D/A looks at the consumer sentiment for Qatar for October across economy, business and employment to identify confidence trends in the region
Qatar is an important economy to watch out for in 2022 with the upcoming World Cup. The overall consumer sentiment has dropped slightly from September. While the business and employment indices have grown in October, the economic sentiment has taken a downward movement, impacting the overall sentiment negatively. As D/A’s managing partner, Paul Kelly states “For the first time in 2021, we are seeing an interruption to the average growth line, with the triple month drop in overall sentiment interrupting the slow but steady growth pattern. We’re seeing a strong sentiment towards employment still, but with confidence in the economy and business not breaking into the positive side of the indices, this is not a stable position”
