SUMMARY:
It’s the first decline of consumer sentiment in Saudi Arabia for over 7 months.
The Sila; CSI report by D/A looks at the economic, business, and employment factors that have driven this sudden drop in confidence.
“We have seen a decline across all our major indices for consumer sentiment in Saudi Arabia in July. These dips are not statistically significant but do represent a large shift in two areas. The first is the normalisation of the index as the impacts of the Pandemic shock wear off, we will see natural undulations in sentiment. Second, and somewhat disingenuously, we’re also getting a prolonged pandemic fatigue setting in. Both of these will challenge the resilience of the Saudi consumer sentiment in the months to come”
